APRIL SCRAPBOOKING CLASS

Welcome back stampers ! I am on a roll ! Just completed next months Scrapbook Layout !
This class will be held on Thursday 27 th April and will begin at 1.30 . If you do not wish to use the same DSP as I have you are welcome to choose from my stash and this includes retired DSP .
This is a very simple LO but there was a lot of die cutting involved . I have not used my Paisley framelits nearly enough and you could easily stamp and cut them out for a different effect .

CASING THE CATTY SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Hi and welcome back again . When I saw this challenge  posted I instantly knew which card I was going to case ! You see I have a son who's name is Jay ! Can you guess which card I cased ?  Of course it is the card on the left on page 46 .

I used the large Letters framelit dies to cut out my letters , mounted that piece onto another contrasting piece of this awesome DSP - Urban Underground , so versatile ! It might be hard to see in the photo but I have also embossed my Delightful Dijon mat .
If you'd like to play along , hurry to your stamping room because this challenge closes at 7 pm this evening . Click here to find the page .

COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE

Welcome to the sixth colour inspiration challenge - C 106. Don't these colours look divine together ?
I had a lot of fun with this challenge experimenting with all kinds of ways to create a background that I  was happy with .   I had decided I wanted to create a little fish  using my Paisley Dies . I had seen quite a few on Pinterest and they looked so darn cute . I finished up creating two cards with two different techniques for the background.
For the first card , I took a small plastic lunch bag and scribbled on it using my Pool Party marker , spritzed and then applied the ink with my hand inside the bag , I then repeated this process until I was happy with the colour , dried it and began applying some Night Of Navy in the same manner .  My card base I applied this ink to was Irresistibly Floral DSP - this is quite thick and absorbs the water quite well. I had seen Carolyn Bennie use this technique during her Facebook Live video - thank you so much for sharing Carolyn .  I embossed this piece using the seaside embossing folder . All that remained was to create my little fish and of course add some clear wink of stella to him and then some gold spatters and gold metallic thread under my fish

I decided I'd like to see what this card would look like with a shaving cream background . Which background is your favourite ?

Global Design Project 079 | Theme Challenge

                                               Global Design Project #GDP079.

Hello everyone ! Do you think of elephants when you think amusement parks ? I do and so I am entering my Lucky Elephant card for this challenge  ! I was inspired to create this card by my gorgeous friend and stamping sister , Kelly Kent ! I loved her idea to use a marker to define the outline of the elephant and stamp him onto the SAB DSP Inside The Lines . Ever since I had seen Kelly's card I had wanted to try this technique using  our Festive Birthday DSP. I love how this card turned out ! The Melon Mambo piece is gold embossed and snipped out .
