Hi Stampers !
I wanted to share my Faux Silk card I created using the flowers from the Blended Seasons limited time only stamp set .
I love the texture created using this technique which is quite simple really and uses inexpensive supplies.
I stamped my greeting and my flowers onto a large piece of tissue paper ( the kind you wrap presents in )using Highland heather ink , then as soon as I did that realised I should maybe have stamped in Smoky Slate , oh well I thought I'd see how it turned out and was sure I could cover the light purple tones using my Call Me Clover blend . Do you have all the new Blends colours yet ? They are really pretty ! Place your tissue paper on a clean sheet of white paper and proceed to colour it in - I used my Blends markers !
When you are all done with that scrunch your master piece up into a ball ! Yes , really ! Carefully unscrunch it, is that a word ? it and don't flatten it right out , you want a few wrinkles ! Cover a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 9.5 cm x 13.9 cm lightly with Multipurpose glue and attach your tissue paper image , do not flatten it right out ! You can choose to either trim it off at the edges or fold it over and mitre the corners ( my chosen option ) .Attach ribbon of choice and adhere to a piece of Highland Heather 10 cm x 14.3 cm and finally to your Whisper White Thick base !
I hope you like my card !
