ESAD Sale-a-bration blog hop - February 2018

Welcome to the ESAD blog hop .  What is ESAD ? ESAD is a private group where Stampin' Up ! Demonstrators can share projects , ask advice and support each other .

Today we are sharing projects created using the Sale- a- Bration items .
I chose to use Happy Wishes , Blooming Basket and Epic Celebrations in these first few cards to show you just how easy it is to create stunning card using very few supplies . White heat emboss your image and the simply colour over it using your Stampin' Blends ! One of my oldest customers always tells me the card she created using this technique is her most favourite card !

Don't you just love that gorgeous basket ! Here are some more samples using this set . This set is in the second round of SAB items .
This card uses the DSP available in the second round of SAB items , Springtime Foils . gorgeous ! I have added colour to the DSP using my sponge brayer . Then I have simply copper heat embossed the basket image and coloured in the flowers using my blends . I fussy cut some of the cute butterflies so that I could pop them up . I think the little butterfly sitting on my sentiment looks super cute , don't you ?

For this next sample I used the Whitewash technique , I love this technique ! Simply White heat emboss your image onto Crumb Cake card stock  and wash it out using White craft ink refill mixed with a little water . When dry , colour over the top with your colour of choice .

The next sample was inspired by a card I saw by  Melissa Kerman . This technique is called Black Ice . It is really easy to create stunning cards using this technique . I will  briefly describe " how to ", run your Archival black ink pad down the foil , allow to dry , stamp your chosen images , allow to dry , run your versa mark pad down the card front in the same way as before , cover the whole piece with clear embossing powder and heat set . run the black pad down the card matt also for a coordinating background. You can use any colour foil . In this example I have used Copper . You can see more samples using the technique here . It looks much better IRL !

I couldn't resist a couple more samples using the Springtime Foils DSP  , I have silver heat embossed my butterfly on vellum and then coloured the back of it with my Stampin ' Blends . The butterfly sits on a piece of glossy card stock which has been embossed using the Basket Weave embossing folder - also a second round item ! I have coloured the leaves using my blends .  It was difficult to capture the beauty  of this butterfly because of the shine from the glossy paper .

I have used a piece of the DSP for the card base and I have coloured some flowers and leaves  from the DSP with my blends . I was very pleased with the way this card turned out !
