SEPTEMBER CLASSES - BEST CATCH & FLOATING CARDS

Hello and welcome to my blog . This card was inspired by one I saw by stinkincutecards.com although I was unable to locate this card again and the watermark of the name was obscured . If it was your card , thank you for the inspiration .
I have used a couple of new products from the Holiday Catalogue in creating this card just in time for Father's Day here in Australia , my card is , however a birthday card as my Dad passed quite a few years ago.
I created the scene  using a new stamp set , Snow Front which is not dissimilar to the current set , Waterfront and they can totally be used together , then cut it out using my stitched dies . The Blueberry Bushel matt was embossed using the High Seas 3 D embossing folder then

it was simply a matter of stamping and die cutting the images and placing them where I wanted them . Can you spot the other new item ? It will be on the list at the bottom of this post .

There are many you tube videos showing how to create  floating cards . I chose a simpler version with no colouring involved so that I would be able to present this technique in a class within time constraints .
Quite simply , the two dies were cut out adhered together , positioned onto my Whisper White matt , then Press and Seal was pressed over top , die cut the square from the centre , flip both pieces over to the back ( leave P & S in position for this step ) add dimensionals , carefully remove P&S - tip I use my heat gun to gently heat and the film comes away more easily without tearing the paper . Attach to your cards .
The first card shown has been stamped with the greeting , embossed , then gently sponged before adding the square back in . The square has a scalloped square matt and some ribbon behind as well as some sequins for added interest .
You can see my Facebook Live video where I demonstrated this technique here

The second card was actually easier to put together than the first ! Repeat the procedure without the need for any extras ! I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects I was happy to share with you . I am sure my lades are going to love this class and I can't wait to share my ideas with them .
