SWAPS FOR SEPTEMBER
Hi , I have just finished creating my swaps for September and guess it's still August ! We were able to use either On To Adventure or Perfectly Plaid or we could participate in both of these swaps organised by Leonie Schroder . I chose to participate in both swaps and it was a lot of fun creating the card fronts for my fellow S. U demonstrators .
This first card uses the Perfectly Plaid bundle as well as the gorgeous DSP . I followed a tutorial by Beth Adams explaining how to create one of these " Collar " cards I had never made before . It was simple and fun . The trees were punched right out of the DSP ! How fun is that ? I used a greeting from another new set , Christmas Gleaming because the greeting was a better fit for my card .
I began this card by using a method of adding ink to shimmery card stock which involved scribbling with SWMarkers onto some cling film , then applying this to pre moistened card stock . It s preferable to use watercolour paper or shimmery white as it holds up to being moistened better than other card stocks . Once this was dry, I stamped my gorgeous little palm trees and then cut it out . It was then just a matter of stamping , colouring and die cutting or fussy cutting the images out.
I am so pleased with my cards and I do hope the ladies I am swapping with love them as much as I do ! What do you think ?
