APRIL CARD CLASS

Hi everyone !
We had a lovely day of classes today .  The first style  of card created was a shaker card using Balloon Adventures bundle.
I gave my ladies a choice of colours . These cards pack a wow factor  and are really not difficult to create !

I was inspired to create this card by a card I had seen on Pinterest which was created in a totally different way by Kimber Kreations .
Everyone was in awe of how effective but simply created this was ! It is the bleaching technique !  I was inspired by Frenchie and Sandi McIvor , thank you so much ladies !The card is given a Soft Suede water colour wash , dried and  stamped . Then we took a fine paint brush and washed out " the lady's dress and hat ! Amazing ! You can also pretend you are an artist and add a few little swirls and on this one I tried adding some detail to the flowers as suggested by Gail McK - good thinking Gail , it looks fantastic ! I love how we can all learn from each other and when you have such lovely groups of ladies to stamp with my life is complete ! Denise joined the advanced group today and her cards were awesome ! Well done Denise !

I spent some time playing around with this technique in different ways . The two cards on the left are created in the same way as I have described as is the blue card bottom right with the flowers - I have used Dapper Denim as my wash . The purple lady and blue flower  is bleach direct to card stock  , as is the flower card above , but I have coloured it using our pencils after first bleaching out the colour  (inspired by Debbie Henderson ) , the Always Artichoke card ( inspired by Kathya Kalinine ) is gold embossed and I've used the bleach which has turned the CS a pale gold , then I have given the design pieces lick of  wink of stella . The fish and the owl card were to showcase  other uses for the paisley stamps and dies .

Last of all , was a very simple card , again in two colour choices using Special Reason and Stylish stems. I  made up a collection of cards using this set in a huge variety of different ways . I  give credit to several stamping sisters for these ideas and  if I have left anyone out I do apologise I would like to give credit to Di Barnes , Kylie Bertucci , Kathya Kalinine , Christy Velasquez ( I used my watercolour pencils and all SU product for my sample though !) Sabrina , Liz Bailey and Patty Bennet.
The class cards - simply cut your flower and mount this piece onto some DSP or glimmer or a sponged piece of card stock ! Add some ribbon and a sentiment and you are good to go ! If you could only own one floral bundle this is the one to go for ! So versatile !

I hope you enjoyed this overview of a few different techniques and you are inspired to head to your craft room and create something beautiful today !
