October Card Class

Today we created three Christmas cards .
The first card used the salt technique . Everyone was a little  dubious of this one !
First the card was white heat embossed onto the shimmer paper . Then we covered it in ink using the sponge rollers - first colour was Marna Mist , followed by Island Indigo and lastly Dapper Denim .
This was then spritzed with water and some common table salt was sprinkled on . This was heat dried - it's actually best to leave it to dry of its in accord but we are all too impatient for that ! Then we spattered on some multi purpose liquid glue mixed with a little water and shook on some sliver glitter . Then it was just a matter of attaching the die cut stars and stamping the insert . The set we used comes in a bundle and is called Star Of Light .
All the cards looked lovely and no two were the same . It is best to put on more ink than you think you need for this technique .
 Here is the card

The next card is really cute and I have some very talented ladies who had no trouble at all getting the bear stamp lined up perfectly - they did a better job than I !
We used Chocloate Chip first , then Soft Suede and lastly Crumb Cake ink for the bear .
His bow was stamped using the bow stamp which is in the same set but did you know that the new Holly Berry punch matched this bow ? Cool right ?
We also used the Jolly Friends stamp set and matching hat bulider punch for his cute hat !
We used the word , beary from the Baby Bear set and the word Christnas from the Star of Light stamp set to create the greeting - cool huh ?
A cute spray of holly from the gorgeous set , Peace This Christmas finished off this card .

Lastly we created a really simple card . The Blushing Bride glimmer reindeer was cut from the mat piece of glimmer , Sharron cleverly mangaged to get two deer out of her piece - clever cookie !
The front of the card was covered in the dots from Merriest Wishes but you could also use the star image from Christmas Pines if you didn't have the other set . We used Blushing Bride stamped off for this . The medallion  from Frosfed  Medallions was stamped with Sweet Sugar Plum  as was the greeting which came from the set called Greetings From Santa . Some of the gorgeous Sweet Sugar Plum ribbon finished off this card beautifully . Everyone went home very happy with the beautiful cards they created .

Don't forget to book in for next Saturday's Magic class will you ?
