Beginner's Class

I've enjoyed having seven lovely ladies in two beginner's classes this week . Everyone loved the cards created ! Stampin ' Up make it really easy so anyone can do it ! Today's ladies enjoyed the freedom to stamp the card however they chose and they all looked beautiful .
This was the first time they' d seen and tried heat embossing and all were in awe of it . I also showed how they could dry emboss with the Bigshot and cut a detailed die to show them what I was talking about .
These are the cards we created today .

The greeting on the centre card was heat embossed using silver powder and then the remainder of this card was stamped using the set called Awsomely Artistic and Marina Mist and Mint Macaron inks . Some Mint Macaron ribbon gave this card a nice finishing touch .
Then it was time to introduce these ladies to some water colouring casing a card straight out of the catalogue ! Dapper Denim and Crushed Curry were the colours used with the Wetlands stamp set . Everyone coped extremely well with the watercolouring and the cards all looked great .
The last card was created using Touches Of Texture stamp set , Early Espresso , Cajun Craze, Dapper Denim and Delightful Dijon . It came together really easily and again the ladies liked to do something a little different . It was great to see the creativeness come through with those who had said they were not creative!
If you'd like to join in the fun , just let me know . My next round of beginner' classes will be onTuesday   16 th August @ 7.30 pm and Thursday 18 th August @1.30 pm .😀😀😀

JULY SCRAPBOOKING CLASS

Nice quick class  today with the ladies going home to finish the layout because they did not bring photos with them .
Stamps used were  Penned and Painted , Gorgeous Grunge , Timeless Textures and Awesomely Artistic . The flowers and leaves  were embossed in the gorgeous new copper powder onto Dapper Denim , Sweet Sugarplum and Chocolate Chip card stock , then snipped out using paper snips . Sunshine Wishes die was used to cut the heart and the word , love .  A few  random splashes and sploshes as well as grid lines completed this simple but lovely layout .

July Technique Card Class

Yesterday was the perfect day to craft - rained all day ! I had 8 lovely ladies join me to create three cards . The first card created was a screen fold card . I used Artsitically Asian - love that set - for an oriental look . This card comes together quite easily and quickly , just score and fold , punch the legs , stamp your panels and you're done . Watermelon Wonder and black archival ink is used here and some of the ladies used Bermuda Bay which was beautiful . I was asked what the Asian writing meant and I had no idea so have since asked my stamping sisters and the uppermost writing ( in the catalogue ) means friendship , the lower one means faith , trust , respect , worship . So there you go ladies now you know !

Then next card was cased from Dawn Griffiths here http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2016/03/in-the-meadow-.html

I love the way this card turned out . I used Wink Of Stella for the moon and the Woodgrain or the new Seaside TEF worked well for this card . It is quite simple , but really effective and I tried it in pink also and was really pleased with the result . The stamp set used was In The Meadow , inks Early Espresso and Soft Sky with either the white gel pen or chalk marker for the accents. Another new item on this card is the Classic Label punch . Thank you Gayle for requesting more male cards - that was my motivation for creating this card !

Last , but not least was a very simple  but oh so elegant card created using the Floral Phrases set . Perfect for those times when you are asked to create a special card and they want it yesterday ! Looks as if you've spent hours - sshhhh if only they knew how easy it was ! Everyone used a different in colour so there was no waiting on inks to go around the table .
Here you go
