Rose Wonder Pieced !

Hello and than you for hopping on over to my blog today . I wanted to share with you how I devised a way to achieve the beautiful pieced roses that I had seen on Dena Plummer Rekow's blog last week . You can find her excellent video tutorial here http://www.thecreativitycave.com/ but you'll need to scroll down a fair way to find it . So , okay , Dena has used Glad Press and Seal for her cards but as I did not have ready access to that I had to devise a way to create these cards .

First you need to apply some two way glue to several areas of a sheet of copy paper ( this takes the place of the glad press and seal ) . The area needs to be just large enough to pop the leaves and the flower onto .
Let that dry and then it becomes a temporary glue ! Ingenious I know  !
Next , cut 3 flowers out of 3 different shades of the colour you like . Do the same but with just 2 different greens for the leaves . Pop them directly onto your glue patches and using your die brush gently push them out - you don't need the die cut outline but you can save them  another project .
Then , cut another full Rose and another leaf outline in Basic Black .
Now the fun begins ! Trace a rose and a leaf shape onto B. black cardstock and snip out . Apply Fast Fuse to these pieces and adhere the rose frame to the base . Begin placing your different shades of your chosen colour back into the die cut ! Do the same with your greens for the leaves . As a finishing touch I applied some Wink of Stella to my roses and I have to say I think they are just gorgeous !
Here are some that have created and popped onto my card fronts .
For the blue rose I used Pool Party , Island Indigo , Lost Lagoon , Pear Pizzaz and Wild Wasabi . I have used Timeless Elegance DSP and Pool Party and Basic Black card stock.

For the yellow rose I used Daffodil Delight , Hello Honey , Crushed Curry , Old Olive and Pear Pizazz and again paired it with Timeless Elegance DSP.

Last of all I created this pink beauty . I've used Cherry Cobbler , Rose Red , Melon Mambo and again Pear Pizazz and Old Olive for the leaves.
I hope you were able to follow along with my tutorial  and I trust that you will give this a try because I'm sure you'll be amazed at now gorgeous these roses are irl !
Don't forget classes begin this Sunday so give me a shout out if you'd like to attend .
