MY VERY FIRST BENDI CARDS

Good Morning everyone ,
I have had so much fun creating my first ever bendi cards . Once I had created the first I immediately wanted to create another - I warn you these are addictive especially when you sit back and admire your finished creation !
Here is my first try - a baby card for a special new addition to my family .

Once you have the framework constructed it's simply a matter of decorating as you wish . Here I have used a few retired stamps that I have in my stash . I have also used the Tree Builder punch for the clouds and the small heart and star  punch for the hearts  and stars inside . Here is a picture of the inside also .

I began with a base card size of 4 1/4 X 51/2 inches
Next layer 2 1//2 X 5 1/2 inches
Outer layer 1 3/4 X 5 1/2 inches
I was guided by a stamping friend Nicole Wilson and I am so grateful for your help Nicole 😘 . I was inspired by a gorgeous card shared on a Stampin ' Up ! Facebook page by Maree Jaeschke . What I love about Stampin ' Up ! sharing what we love !
For the next two cards I altered the measurements to suit my cards . The back piece being 6 inches high and then the other pieces altered according and I've curved those layers also . If you're like me and nervous about  drawing a curve - here's a tip ! I used my retired Jingle All The Way framelits to trace a curve then cut with my paper snips .

I used my Tags and Labels framelits , Word Window , 3/4 circle , 1/2 inch circle and retired spiral punches also to create the trains . I also used Sprinkles of Life , Zoo Babies ,Kinda Eclectic , Ray Of Sunshine ,Number Of Years stamp sets and matching framelits / punches . The pieces were embossed using the Stylish Stripes and the Decorative Dots embossing folders .
There are many tutorials on Pinterst for creating the basic framework of this card and it's fairly easy once you get the hang of it ! If you need any more information please feel free to contact me . If you're reading this post I'd really love to hear from you . It means a lot to me when my followers take time out of their busy lives to leave me a comment .

February Workshop

Hi Stampers ,
Today I'd like to share yesterday's workshop cards with you .
This card uses Beautiful Ride , Party Punch Pack , Confetti TEF and the Party Pop Ups die  on the inside . The car was stamped in Archival Black ink and watercoloured using Mint Macaron . For a bit of fun it was stamped randomly with flowers when dry .

This was the first time I'd used my No Bones About It stamp set and I absolutely love it ! Trust me if you have any little boys in your family , or big ones it is a must have ! You not only get the dinosaurs you get some pretty cool greetings , vines , leaves , stones , foot prints and even a tiny party hat ! I have combined the  large numbers die and the balloon punch together with the stamp set to create this card .

This card uses the Starburst die and was really simple to create . I cased this one from Kylie Bertucci . It makes a great male card or could be for any gender or age group .

Bookings for next month's class on the 6 th March will close this Wednesday 25 th February . The cards we will create are a partial retiform card , a decorative corner card and a dimensional vellum flower card . Here is a sneak peak . Please contact me ASAP if wishing to come along .

My First Blog Challenge

Hey everyone welcome to my first blog challenge post ever ! tistheseasonstampin.blogspot.com have issued a challenge to create a Christmas card using only green , gray , black and white .
Here is my card

I've used a partial retiform technique where you mask off certain areas and sponge along the lines creating a grid effect , then you mask off each area and stamp full or partial images . This technique is so much fun and I'll be demonstrating it at my next class . I was so happy to be able to pull out some of my favourite Chrisrnas stamps and embellishments .  The colours I have used are Garden Green , Smoky Slate , Memento Black and a Whisper White base . I hope you like my card .

BEAUTIFUL RIDE MEETS IN THE MEADOW

Good Morning everyone .
I've been having so much fun watercolouring with these two sets and I simply had to share some of the cards I have made with you .
Love , love , love this one ! I have white heat embossed the clouds and the sun and the rest of the card is just water colouring and then a few touches of white gel pen for the waves ! Clouds are from Sky is the Limit and sun is from the Project Life set Memories in the Making .

Here I have combined Sheltering Tree ,and Timeless Textures and the greeting is from Birthday Blooms. Love how I've coloured the car with splashes of different colours !

This one uses the mountains to create the scene and also the flowers from the same set . Coloured over the flowers using my white gel pen and then added colour using my markers . Do you love the flowers on the bug ?

For this one I've watercoloured  before cutting out with my circle framelits and mounting on some Go Wild DSP on top of a Matt that has been  stamped tone on tone  with the background stamp Its Wild .

Have you heard ! Shannon West has started a movement to bring birthdays back and you can help . If you are reading this blog and would like a birthday card from me leave me a comment . You can find out more here http://www3.stampinup.com/home/en-NZ/lets-all-bring-birthdays-back

February Water colouring class .

Yesterday nine ladies  attended my water colouring class . They had a ball and absolutely loved the Wink Of Stella pen oh and also the cards .

This card was cased for the the very talented Kylie Bettoci . I used the colours from the party suite which enabled me to also use the candy dots matching those colours - Melon Mambo , Crushed Curry , Mint Macaroon and Basic Black . Beautiful Ride and Balloon Celebration with its matching punch were used to create this card . Wink of Stella gave the balloons a hint of shimmer . The car was water coloured using Melon Mambo and then snipped out .

This next design was completely different to my usual style but I live how it turned out . Water coloured using Rich Razzleberry , Blackberry Bliss , Island Indigo and Pacific Point .

Last of all was this easy watercoloured card using the Sky Is the Limit  , free with $90 order right now . I used Real Red , Basic Gray , Marina Mist , Early Espresso and pool Party .

Rose Wonder Pieced !

Hello and than you for hopping on over to my blog today . I wanted to share with you how I devised a way to achieve the beautiful pieced roses that I had seen on Dena Plummer Rekow's blog last week . You can find her excellent video tutorial here http://www.thecreativitycave.com/ but you'll need to scroll down a fair way to find it . So , okay , Dena has used Glad Press and Seal for her cards but as I did not have ready access to that I had to devise a way to create these cards .

First you need to apply some two way glue to several areas of a sheet of copy paper ( this takes the place of the glad press and seal ) . The area needs to be just large enough to pop the leaves and the flower onto .
Let that dry and then it becomes a temporary glue ! Ingenious I know  !
Next , cut 3 flowers out of 3 different shades of the colour you like . Do the same but with just 2 different greens for the leaves . Pop them directly onto your glue patches and using your die brush gently push them out - you don't need the die cut outline but you can save them  another project .
Then , cut another full Rose and another leaf outline in Basic Black .
Now the fun begins ! Trace a rose and a leaf shape onto B. black cardstock and snip out . Apply Fast Fuse to these pieces and adhere the rose frame to the base . Begin placing your different shades of your chosen colour back into the die cut ! Do the same with your greens for the leaves . As a finishing touch I applied some Wink of Stella to my roses and I have to say I think they are just gorgeous !
Here are some that have created and popped onto my card fronts .
For the blue rose I used Pool Party , Island Indigo , Lost Lagoon , Pear Pizzaz and Wild Wasabi . I have used Timeless Elegance DSP and Pool Party and Basic Black card stock.

For the yellow rose I used Daffodil Delight , Hello Honey , Crushed Curry , Old Olive and Pear Pizazz and again paired it with Timeless Elegance DSP.

Last of all I created this pink beauty . I've used Cherry Cobbler , Rose Red , Melon Mambo and again Pear Pizazz and Old Olive for the leaves.
I hope you were able to follow along with my tutorial  and I trust that you will give this a try because I'm sure you'll be amazed at now gorgeous these roses are irl !
Don't forget classes begin this Sunday so give me a shout out if you'd like to attend .
