MY FIRST STAMPIN' UP ! CLASS

So for my first class I was delighted to have seven ladies in attendance .
First up we created a block card which folds down to go into an envelope . We used the Postage Stamp and the 1 " square punch for the squares which are layered onto the card . The paper we used was from the DSP mini stack All Abloom - just gorgeous don't you think ? After we constructed the block card all that was left to do was decorate it using Petite Petals stamp and matching punch and also Pappillion Potpourri and matching punch . See the cute little greeting ! It comes from the set called Honeycombe Hello and I was delighted to discover it coordinates not only with the Hive die but also with the 7/8 punch which we used today and there are a few other small punches that also can be used with this stamp set - good value I think . All of my group received an instruction sheet and a template so that they can again create this lovely card easily at home .
The next card used a technique called cotton wool stuffed card . I saw the tutorial on Deb Valder 's blog and thought it'd be fun to try so when my friend Cheryl O ' Bree came for a visit we got to work on this technique .
For this card we used the hostess set Bloom With Hope and our wonderful blendabilites , the Tiny Triangles TEF  and some of our gorgeous seam binding ribbon .

So lastly we created a quick and easy card using the emboss resist technique . Some were made using Melon Mambo and some used Tempting Turquoise - both gorgeous don't you think ?
If you'd like to learn how to create a card using these techniques either by attending a class or hosting your own workshop please contact me . My next card class will be on Sunday the 24 th August and my next  Scrapbooking day will be the 10 th of August . Contact me to book  .

There are just two very different stacks see picture . I am happy for you to host the party at my home if you wish - you don't need to clean ! You only need to bring is a simple afternoon tea or supper depending on the time of day you choose. I am available most week nights and some week days and the weekends are free apart from when I hold classes.
Last weekend we created these cards
I wanted
the guests to see what an amazing effect the two step stamp Stippled Blossoms has so I had them create in four different colour combinations . Here is a photo

Don't they look awesome ! I love this set ! Did you notice the background ? It is called I Love Lace and is a new background stamp that is fast becoming a favourite of mine !
Yesterday was Scrapbooking and this is the layout I created . I was very nervous about this one ! As you can see its pretty " out there " and I didn't know how my ladies would like it . They were surprised at first and then by the second page they really let go their inhibitions and just went for it ! All the pages looked awesome !

The next Scrapbooking class will be on Sunday the 10 th August .
My next card class is Sunday the 27 th July . Contact me for more details .

New Catalogue Party

Wow ! Such a great attendance at my party . Everyone had so much fun , loved the cards and we did something new to all of us - we had a treasure hunt . Overall winner on the day was Karen Haw with an almost perfect score . Karen won Off The Grid - one of my favourite stamp sets . There were a few consellation prizes also as well as everyone taking home some gifts and a new catalogue . I was sorry some of my regular customers missed out on the day so if you'd like a free catalogue just contact me.
This weekend , on Sunday , is my monthly Scrapbooking glass . If you have not already let me know you'd like to attend please give me a call it's not too late . I am still working on the pages ! It's been a busy few weeks and with the school holidays upon us I was excited to spend time with my grandchildren also . So with working three days I am kept busy . With the beginning of the new catalogue I have just today received some lovely new goodies that I am dying to play with ! I have labelled and mounted everything ready to go tomorrow evening !
With such a lot of lovely new products I am really looking forward to demonstrating them to you so if you'd like to attend my class this weekend or my card making class on the 27 th July please get in touch with me.
