AUGUST CARD CLASS CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS

Hello and welcome back. I wanted to share the cards that were created in yesterday's class . My colour choice was inspired by a project on the Artisan design team blog hop create by Martha Inchley. I love these colours together and the new gold edged ribbon is just gorgeous don't you think ?

I  love Bermuda Bay and silver tother so I just had to create this one and pair it with our silver foil and another new ribbon , this time silver edging on white ! Stunnng  ! I really like the embossed trees for the background and a few spatters of Wink Of Stella make this card come to life !

The next card was cased from Stampin" Up ! Isn't it just beautiful and again I have used some of the silver edged ribbon . I love how the ribbon punched  border  sets the DSP off against the Wild Wasabi background .
If you would like to join me for a class please feel free to contact me .

PP355 - Tic-Tac Toe Challenge from Laurie/Joanne

Hello ! I'm so happy to be joining in on the Paper Players Tic tac Toe challenge ! I have chosen the   diagonal line birthday , enamel dots and blue for my card .

I simply adore the Oh So Eclectic bundle and am excited to share my card with you today . I have mounted a piece of Naturally Eclectic DSP onto my Berry Burst base and die cut my Lemon Lime Twist piece before adhering it to the DSP. Did you spot the tiny Soft Sky flowers around my sentiment ? Too cute ! If you have a card you'd like to add to the challenge here is the link

Just Add Ink #370..."Sketch"

Hello and welcome to the Just Add Ink challenge .

Just Add Ink #370..."Sketch"

I decided to have another play around with the soot technique - it's  really easy , if a little daunting ! Just take some glossy card stock and take it back and forth through a candle flame until your card stock is all black and sooty ! Be careful no to touch it except on the very edge - its good to begin with a larger piece for this reason . Then stamp your image straight down , applying a little pressure to be sure you get a great result . You will then need to seal this piece and hair spray is sufficient for this or you can go all out and purchase a clear sealant .
I love the Mediterranean Moments stamp set and it works really well with this technique .
For this card I stamped some flourishes in Pear Pizzaz before applying the soot technique   . I think the branch hanging down with its gorgeous little flowers adds a beautiful final touch to my card oh and did you notice I left the burnt ends of my ribbon to tie it all together ?
