THANKFUL GARDEN

Hey there stamping friends . I am all packed up for On Stage tomorrow & I realised I have not blogged my card I created last week ! I am writing this post as I chill out under the AC while I enjoy a cuppa . Our weather is stinking hot & humid right now &we've all had enough after weeks of it !

So here is my card which I cased from a gorgeous card I received many years ago rom my sister in law , Gail Sayers .

I used the Thankful Garden bundle , available as an on line exclusive right now . I love hydrangeas & used to grow them in pots but now my garedening days are over  . For this card I used Garden Green for the leaves , oh I forgot to mention the bundle includes masks which makes he colouring super easy ! For the flowers I began with some Boho Blue ink , then some Highland Heather & finished with Blueberry Bushel - love that colour ! Then Cut my 8 cm piece in 1/2 @ 4 cm both ways & used a retired corner rounder punch to add a bit of interest to the card .

MARCH CLASS

Hello again stampers ! Here's the cards I created yesterday 7 we are about to create this afternoon !

The bee card is called a diamond gate fold & uses a 1/2 sheet of 12 x 12 DSP

I cut my DSP to 14.4 cm then I scored it @ 2 " & 4 " & turned it & did the same on the other side , cut from the outer score line to a 2" mark either side as shown in my video .

For this fracture card I stamped my square as liked then adhered it with dimensionless in the centre of my card . Beginning at the centre right edge I adhered my 1 cm strips of card stock all the way around my square , then I turned my card over & snipped off the excess . In class today we found it very important to remember NOT to adhere our DSP until AFTER OUR strips were in place & cut to size . Some of my clever ladies found a way around this though & everyone was super happy with the end result .

CORNER SQUASH CARD

Hi friends ! Oh man I can't believe how many tries I had at downloading my video to You Tube ! It sat there for hours , all night Thursday Night actually then last night I deleted the download & tries again & when I couldn't sleep I looked at about 4 am & it was done so I then downloaded my class video from yesterday & it was done in no time as well ! Go figure ! Technology , love it or hate it !

Ok so here's the two cards I created using Connie Stewart's template as a guide only . I was determined to be able to create this card in metric size & after many sheets of copy paper I finally nailed it !

So , if you are wanting to try this one yourself & you live in metric land here's the stuff & digits !

DSP 63/4 " x 8 1/8 " score @ 2 3/4 " on the 6 3/4 " side & 2 1/2 " on the 8 1/8 " side . I found if I made the card any longer than * 1/4 " it didn't fold nicely in the middle .

Then you need to watch the video to see where to score the diagonal line - it's matching up those score lines . Tip , don't burnish your folds until you see how neat your card is folding together because now is the time to fix it .
