CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST SCRAPBOOKING CLASS

Hi everyone and welcome back ! Today I'd like to share with you the layout my class participants completed in today's class .
It was such fun to use the embossing paste for these pages ! First we coloured it with a drop or two of Cherry Cobbler re inker . Looks great on the Garden Green background , don't you think ? The lovely full Christmas tree is from one of my favourite retired sets , Christmas Lodge. Love it !

I love how the trees from the Carols Of Christmas can be positioned any way you like ! I am really pleased with this Lay Out . I hope you like it too ! Thanks for looking and I'd love for you to leave me a comment and tell me what you think .

STAMPING DREAMS BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Stamping Dreams blog hop . This month we are sharing our favourite in colours . You are currently visiting Cheryl Algie I hope that you enjoy my projects While I love all of the 2017 - 2019 in colours I have to confess my two favourites would have to be Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst !
Both of these cards were created using the same braiding technique as demonstrated at our team retreat by Suzie Wouters . I have created two very different cards which use the same background and are also different cards to the one created at retreat !  am always amazed at how many different looks a card can have depending on how it is created !
Both cards were brayered using sponge brayers beginning with Lemon Lime twist and then continuing with Berry Burst - an awesome effect with just two colours ! But wait theres more as Susie showed us you can add some Powder Pink to take the edge off the Berry Burst
if you wish !
I have simply added a die cut , sentiment , bow and some rhinestones to complete the first card .

To the second sample I stamped the image added a sentiment and tied some silver metallic thread into a gorgeous bow ! A spritzing with my Wink of Stella completed this card .

Lastly I created another version of a gorgeous card mailed me by Sandra Mastello , our team leader for a recent RAK swap . I hope Sandra does not mind me re creating her design using current products . I adore the card Sandra sent me and will forever treasure it . Here is my version using the Daisy Delight stamp set .
Isn't it just such an adorable design ? I don't have a tutorial for this one and neither does Sandra - that's something i need to work on if I decide to use it for a class . I have used all of the in colours in this one . I loved using the small stamps in the daisy set , such fun ! I have stamped the small daisies onto Powder Pink card stock and snipped them out . The Soft Sky background was watercolored onto Shimmery White card stock. The foliage and tiny flowers were stamped directly onto the background . I used Tranquil Tide , Lemon Lime Twist , Fresh Fig and Emerald Envy. I hope you en

SCRAPBOOKING GLOBAL AUGUST BLOG HOP

Hello and welcome to the Scrapbooking Global August blog hop ! I hope you enjoy my project.
I adore these photos of my granddaughter and great granddaughter and wanted to create a pretty background for them . I began with this beautiful black and white photo and decided to mat it onto a piece of Pieces and Patterns DSP . I created a backdrop using the gorgeous floral stamp then stamped a pretty lace edge . The swirls were perfect to offset my daisy flower . Do you see how perfect the glitter enamel dot is for the flower centre ? These gorgeous daisies were cased from the ever so kind Kim Oliver , thank you so much for the tutorial on creating these beauties Kim ! 😃😃😃

The next page was  inspired by a layout I had seen which was created by the very talented Jacque Williams . I have altered the colours and the stamp sets Jacque used for her beautiful page . I love how these colours compliment the photo so well.

Thanks for looking and now its time to see what the talented Beth Rush has created , just click on the next button  and continue on the hop !
