Shutter cards for family

I wanted to share with you two shutter cards I created . The first one was created for my great niece , Tayla and it's safe to share it because she has already recived it way up in Darwin !
I have used some of our new DSP , Pop Of Pink along with some gold , silver and black glimmer paper . I used the Balloon Bulider and star punches and the banners from the balloon framelits . The balloon strings are the swirly die from the Cupcake Cutouts framelits. It was such fun to create and Tayla really loved it . 😀😀😀

Next on my list was a 40th card for my niece , Benita , and as its her birthday tomorrow I think she'd have received it by now.
For Benita's card I've used Floral Phrases die and stamp set as well as some Floral Bourique DSP also new in the catalogue ! This framelit set creates a very special looking card with very little effort - ssshhhhh ! I cased this design from my SU sister , Angela Lorenz here http://angscraftycards.blogspot.com.au/ Angela does some amazing work and I really admire her creations . June Scrapbooking Class

Today's pages were created using various stamps and inks to create interesting backgrounds . I had not originally intended this LO to be for a class but some of the ladies loved  it and wanted to create something similar . When I began to prep for class I realised I'd sold my Bohemian Borders stamp set I had used for this LO ! Oops ! This meant the ladies had to improvise and come up with their own designs . Everyone did well with Narelle and Margeret using Best Birds stamp set and matching framelits  and Coral using a motorbike stamp .
Here are my pages of my youngest grandson , Connor , looking very dapper in his favourite hat !
I had used paint mixed with re inker also but it was not suitable for class so they used various textured background stamps , Watercolour Wash and You've Got This and Narelle used the textured stamp from Best Birds . Everyone achieved great results and the pages looked amazing !
Two of my ladies celebrate birthdays this month so I created my first ever cascading cards for each of them .

Birthday Cards and June card class

I had intended to showcase all of the wonderful cards I received for my birthday on May 14 th individually but after an overwhelming avalanche of cards I have decided to share as follows .

In this group of cards we have up the very top , a medallion style card created by Eris Dwyer , to the right a card by Jennifer Hudson , next row far left Gayle Zanker , Kathy Hodges , Sharon Ballard , Gail Sayers , Cheryl O' Bree , bottom row Helen , Coral Kervin , Nola Webb , Margaret Clements  and Sharron Freeman .

At the very top from the queen of imbringingbirthdaysback# Shannon West , to the left Lesley Lendon ,  right Elise Wu , Olivia Maxwell , next row Judy McClelland , Kelly Kent , Lynne Hemphill , Rachel Lewsley , Denise O ' Brien , Kaye Baulch and Marilyn Meadows .
Thank you each and every one is so special to me 😀😀😀 and to receive cards right up to last week was amazing !

For this month's class we created a planter box card . I gave my ladies two options , they could choose to create the one with " grass " or take the pieces of Emerald envy home and create their own choice of leaves. I cased this design from Linda Bauwin here http://stampingwithlinda.typepad.com/stamping_with_linda/2015/03/flower-pot-creative-fold.html
I changed the measurements to create a shorter box and added different flowers using Flower Shop  Petite Petals , Pot Pourri  stamp sets and matching punches and used all of the new in colours to create this card which folds for mailing .
I was inspired by a card I saw created by Bronwyn Eastley at https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/addinktive-designs-2395857

I did not purchase the tutorial though , preferring to figure it out my self . For the box with the fern leaves I found I needed to add some strips of window sheet to support the leaves .

The next card is a case and I'm so sorry I cannot find the original photo so if this is your creation thankyou so much and please let me know so that I may give you credit for this beautiful design .
It was very simply created using Love and Affection stamp set and gold embossing powder but the effect is amazing with the added touch of gold satin ribbon .

It was interesting to watch each lady' s take on this technique , some loved it and some were way out of their comfort zone without a card to copy from - all of the designs were different and not necessarily ones I had used for my display . 😀😀😀

May Scrapbooking Class

I neglected to post about my Scrapbooking class which I held in May .
For my own pages I have used Crushed Curry , Pacific Point and Real Red . My class ladies used the It's My Party DSP to complete their layouts . I have one lady who is always asking if I ever put more than one photo on a page so I think she was well pleased with this layout which had six photos in all !
It was a fun afternoon and great to see the way different colours and photos made each design so different.
