Cups and Kettles for a Sweet Friend

I wanted to share a gift set I created for a friend ' s birthday I was so pleased with how it turned out . For the tea holder I used Laura Kant' s tutorial , thank you so much Laura . I chose the Love Blossoms DSP stack form the Occasions Catalogue because of my love of pretty things and pink ! I white heat embossed the flower from the  Bloomin ' Love stamp set onto the tea pots .

The cup was stamped with the flower from Birthday Blooms and then water coloured .   I created a bendi card to display the tea pot and cup to full advantage.I hope you liked my little gift set , my friend certainly did !

April Scrapbooking Class

Today we created a page depicting Leprechauns . I had been wanting to scrap book my grandson Sam's kindergarten photos for a long time - Sam is eight years old now and still just as darn cute as he is in these photos .

To begin this page I made masks using the Ovals dies and the Sunburst die and sponged on the colours for the rainbow and the sun rays. I then cut another mask to create the curves and stamped the grass .. The pot of gold was created using various punches .

  

On this page I created a border and then used various stamps to create a grunge effect around the photo and then just added some shamrocks and some gold on gold embossed coins . My ladies told me they felt richer when they left class today ! Lol ! So glad we have fun and everyone has a sense of humour 😀

Copper Love !

I have been having a blast playing with the new copper embossing powder . Here are some cards I created today . I've used a new TEF in this card as well as a new stamp set . The embossing folder is called Floral Affection and includes two small folders . The stamp set is Mixed Borders .

I have used the  the same colours for this next card also along with the other folder from the TEF set .

I used some new washi tape and a sliver of the beautiful copper DSP Affectionatly Yours . A little piece of Venetian Crotchet trim and some copper flecks give a finishing touch . This ribbon is retiring so if you love it you need to order some more before it's gone for good .

 

For a change of colour  I teamed Emerald Envy with  Elegant  Eggplant , Perfect Plum , Wisteria Wonder and Melon Mambo and then added a pop of colour with the new copper embossing powder .

I am loving this Love & Affection set ! 

Sitting Here

Hello again ! I've been playing with another stamp set from the new catalogue called Sitting Here . For my first attempt at using this set I thought it needed a kind of arbour or at least some flowers hanging from it and then I remembered the set called Timeless Love ! I did a little measuring - so easy with photopolymer stamps and yes it would work ! I set to work stamping all the flowers using Memento Black and the stamped them again on some sticky notes so that I could then use them as a mask  to stamp the swing . I then coloured rhe images using my Aqua painter which  I had filled with rubbing alcohol . I gave the Rich Razzelberry flowers some wink of Stella when I was done . I hope you like my card .

For the next card I cased the catalogue and again coloured the images as before . I added a little sponging and some grass from In The Meadow and my card was complete - oh and some linen thread. Don't you just love that cute little bird ?

Baby Bear

Hello and Thankyou for joining me this evening .  What an awesome time we had at On Stage last weekend . It was great to catch up with my friend for many years - we did our nursing training together - Cheryl O' Bree . Cheryl is a very  talented stamper  and had the honour of doing a presentation at On Stage . She did an excellent job too as did all of the other demonstrators who presented . 

It was my first trip to Sydney so we did all the tourist things like Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge , had some lovely dinners and were able to see both Ghost and  Georgie Girl - or I saw Georgie Girl Cheryl had a managers dinner to attend . After we had a mani and pedi we really felt like we were on holidays ! 

So , now back to the stamping ! We were lucky enough to receive our copy of the new Stampin ' Up ! Annual catalogue and let me tell you this catalogue will blow you away ! We were also lucky enough to get our hands on some product before any other demos who did not attend by being able to pre order early while everyone else has to wait until May 3 rd to place their pre order . A great  part of these events is the new friends you make and catching up with old friends you made at previous events . The samples and display boards were very inspiring . We were set a challenge by Sarah the #6monthchallenge  to add one new event each month for the next six months . For my first attempt to meet the challenge I have advertised a beginners Mother's Day class for next week but unfortunately have had little response . April Card Class

What fun we had today ! Lots of laughs and a few mistakes that made us laugh and joke even more ! I have such a great group of ladies !

In today's class the first project was a bendi fold card and the ladies all agreed that it's really not that difficult - once you get the framework sorted it's just straight to the decorating .

I have used the Botanicals stamp set and matching framelits to create this card . I love this card so much I made it in a few different colours .

I saw a similar card on Pinterest but there was no link so I am unable to give due credit . If this is your design please contact me so that I can give you credit for such a pretty design .

This one in Wisteria Wonder will be for my mum for mother' s day .

This pleat fold card is a design I saw on Split Coast Stampers . I used the beautiful Birthday Bouquet DSP and  the  equally gorgeous Birthday Blooms stamp set .

Lastly I created a card using the Whitewash technique which I've not used for quite a while . I love it in Bermuda  Bay and Basic Gray don't you ?

Everyone coloured theirs differently and they all looked amazing . So for this technique you need to heat emboss in black , then whitewash the flower image using white re inker and your Aqua painter . Hit it with the heat gun again and when dry colour again over the white with Bermuda Bay reinker and your Aqua painter and when dry enough you can also add some sparkle using your wink of Stella pen !

Wedding Anniversary Cards

I was asked to create a diamond wedding card and a  matching bottle topper . This was so much fun to create . I cased both Lynne Hempill and Shannon Vanstone who are both very talented fellow Stampin ' Up demonstrators .

I have used the Large Numbers Die and matching stamp set , Bloomin' Hearts die , Botanicals dies  and the Bird Bulider punch .

My customer liked it so much she then requested a simple golden wedding card . This is what I came up with  and she was delighted ! I hope you've enjoyed seeing my creations .😀

March Scrapbooking Class .

Hello ! I've been a little behind in my blogging with Easter popping up in the middle !

This layout was created for a challenge in a group to which I belong . We are actually still waiting on all but two of us to create their layouts so go the Cheryls we showed them didn't we Cheryl O' Bree ?

I have used the Grateful Bunch stamp set and punch to creat this layout . The challenge was to case any page of the Occasionals catalogue . My layout is cased from page 22 . I hope you like it . The photos are of my great grand daughter , Allira , myself and my grandaughter ( not the mother she was camera shy because she didn't have time to put her face on lol ) , Aaliyah . It's about time I scrapped some pics of this little cutie because she will celebrate her first birthday later this month . 😀
