Rose Wonder Inspiration !

I have spent so many hours playing with this wonderful bundle that is available for purchase right now in the Occasions catalogue ! Do you have your copy yet ? Contact me if you'd like a free catalogue .
When you purchase this bundle you are only are few $ away from earning a free SAB item ! Win ! Win !
If you don't have this set , you NEED it ! Trust me you need to add it to your wish list !
So ,after making quite a few samples casing the catalogue I had turned my attention to some of the other products that I had not played with yet . Then , I happened to see Cyhnthia Millan's beautiful floating reinker roses on a group which I am a member of on Facebook . You can see her cards here www.StampWithCynthia.blogspot.com . I  created these three cards using that technique .

Love that technique ! My favourite is the pink one which I've teamed with some Shine On DSP and some Kraft cardstock available in 12 X 12 packs in the AC. Love it !

It is so awesome to be surrounded by such talented people in the SU industry because I had seen a card made by Dena Rekow which intrigued me and then she posted another stunning card I simply had to get to work and create my own . You can find Dena here www.thecreativitycave.com .
So I began to create her stunning black and white card , not changing a thing until it came to colouring the flower with the wink of Stella pen . Suddenly I wondered what it would look like coloured in the gold pen instead so that is what I did ! Love it !

As I was busy colouring the flower I wondered if I might be able to use this technique in another stained glass technique I had taught in class last year . I quickly finished my card because I was dying to try it out ! The pieces were adhered to window sheet flipped over and both gold and silver glitter were added using the fine tip glue pen . This needs to dry overnight for best results so I won't tell you what time I finally crawled into bed last night !

Then I still hadn't finished ! I really wanted to try this out with both the red and the pink glimmer and Wayermelon Wonder !

 .

Then I thought I'd try colouring the Rose in using my wink of Stella pen and picking up some colour from the lid  of my ink pad. I have used Rose Red , Melon Mambo , Blushing Bride , Old Olive and Pear Pizzaz for this card . I'm loving the fresh  look the Old Olive Matt gives this card .

I had seen another card I really loved on Pinterest created by Lea Denton www.thecraftyspark.co.uk so thought I may as well create my version of that also . Here is my very simple, but also very elegant card using only Basic Black CS and Timeless Elegance DSP  .

While I was on a roll I decided I really should finish off with the first one I'd seen of Dena's which was a kind of patchwork affair . You need to cut three roses in three different colours and the piece them together like a jigsaw . Then , again bring  out that gorgeous wink of Stella pen ! I have used Lost Lagoon , Islan Indigo , Pool Party , Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizazz for this card .

As you can see there is no end to the creativeness and versatility of this bundle .

Casing the catalogue

Hello Stampers !
I've been enjoying a long break from classes while I recover and rejuvenate ! I have been busy creating even more samples for all to see when classes resume on the 7 th February .
Here are a couple of cards I case from the catalogue last week on my day off .
I love the graceful butterfly and the lace border that also is included in this set . It also has a matching punch for the 3 smaller flowers. You don't always need to use the flowers to create a lovely card as seen here .

These next two cards are cased from Cindee Wilkinson . She is so talented ! I stamped my flowers in Memento  Black and sponged the colour I wanted , then I added a candy dot and some spatter,

I hope you like my cards ! This is a great little set to own !

Birthday Blooms.

Hi Stampers ,
I finally had the chance to play with my new stamp set , Birthday Blooms available for purchase in the Occasion Catalogue .
I'll admit I've not done very much water colouring but I am happy with how my cards turned out and I am loving this set that I wasn't intending to purchase . However , the cards being created with this set soon changed my mind !
The first card was water coloured using Watermelon Wonder and then a wink of Stella was added to the whole art piece before being snipped out with paper snips . I have used Birthday Bouquet DSP  and also a strip of Shine On Specialty DSP for this card. You will also notice the DSP has a sheet of Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum covering it to give a more subtle look . This vellum is a SAB item you can earn for free when you purchase $90 product before postage .

While I adore pinks I wanted to try this flower in some different colours so I chose to use some of my Pretty Petals DSP stack from the AC for the next two cards .
Here we have a flower coloured using Pacific Point ink. I have only used Wink Of Stella in the centres of these two cards .

Last of all I coloured this one in Calypso Coral and used different coordinating DSP to the first card but the paper is all from the one paper stack !

Movie Inspiration !

Hello again !
I wasn't sure if I'd get to create this card so am pleased I did get some creating time in this afternoon .
So , I was watching a movie last night called Into The Blue , and as soon as I saw a light plane fly over a lighthouse a light bulb moment happened ! Wow , I thought I have those mountains from the OC set In The Meadow , I have a lighthouse image in the set , From  Land To Sea and I have a plane image from the set The Sky Is The Limit .
So I got to work on my design ! I hope you like it !
I have used shimmer paper and water coloured the rocks after stamping , then masked to stamp the light house ( coloured with my markers ) and water coloured the sky and the ocean . Enjoy !

Balloon Buliders

Good Morning Stampers ,
Another quick card this morning and then I must attend to the weeds in my garden ! Oh man haven't they grown with all of the hot weather we've had lately !
Here is my card .

I am loving this new stamp set , Balloon Buliders and thought I'd have a play around and see what other colour combinations I could come up with . Here I have used Pool Party for the base , followed with the matching stamp which adds dimension in Bermuda Bay . I also used Wild Wasabi and Cucumber Crush , Melon Mambo and Balckberry Bliss . These combinations gave me  a bright and happy look . I added some clouds and a greeting and my card was done . I know you are going to enjoy this set also . Did you know it also has a matching punch for even more creative possibilities ?
Well I'm off to the garden that's all for today ! Have a great weekend !

The Sky Is The Limit

 Hi Stampers !
A quick card for tonight , mind you , one that's been running around in my head all the time I was unwell ! As soon as I started to feel better I had to have a play and this is my card .

I began building the scene , firstly by stamping the mountains from the set called In The Meadow . I used Wisteria Wonder ink and then watercoloured onto my shimmer paper - love it ! I also watercoloured the sky in Soft Sky and the grass using Wild Wasabi . The trees were coloured with my Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow markers and the greeting and plane were stamped using Memento Black ink .
I hope you like my card . 😀

Halloween Theme for Scrapbooking.

Hello everyone 😀
I was devastated to have to cancel my first card class for the year last Thursday because I was unwell . It couldn't be helped and I'm still not 100% but I am getting there and have managed to create some scrapbook layouts .  These are for my next class but I am not too sure of a date at the moment .
The first page was spritzed after the images were black heat embossed . This page is so versatile and trees could easily replace the spooky images to become a sunset scene . All this page required after that was a photo , a spider web and a sentiment !

I used some of the same stamps for the next page but instead of embossing I used White Craft Ink for more of a chalk board look . I stole the sentiment from Pinterest because Sam really does look too cute to be spooky !
I used washi tape to make some banners coming off the edge of the photo , cut some chevrons using my retired Chevron punch - love it and added a spider web . I then strategically placed my DSP and my photos and again added one of those spider web doilies from the Hoiday catalogue which is now retired .I've also used some Tangelo Twist corded trim I had in my stash .

I cannot finish this post without a big thank you to my lovely loyal customers who put in orders even though we did not enjoy creating together in class this month . You ladies rock and I am ever grateful for your support . 😘 . Catch you real soon .😀

RETIFORM

Hello again 😀
So I discovered a technique new to me the other day and couldn't wait to try it ! Guess what ! I love it 😀
Here you go ! It's called retiform and there are many tutorials on Pinterest to get you going and then just do your own thing !
Here's some of my first samples so be kind !
Perfect male card yeah

I think this is may be my favourite ! Love that new Pool Party shimmer ribbon and also loving the SAB set Flowering Fields .

For this one I wanted to use the new Watermelon Wonder ribbon so I've used the coordinating ink as well as Calypso Coral  for the lighter shading .

That's all for now folks I best get some rest and recover from this virus that has invaded my body .😀
