Liam at the Splash Park

Hello again . Isn't the weather just glorious at the moment ! I think we're in for a few hot days at the weekend though ! Anyway it was lovely weather to get all of my windows washed today and that always makes me feel good . Now that is done and the garden is in tip top shape also . So , this evening I decided it was time for some more scrapbooking .
As l looked at the photos of Liam when Mandy took him to the splash park the climbing frame immediately reminded me of a spider web ! So I took out my pack of spider web doilies and went from there ! I've used Schoolhouse DSP again - love that paper ! I laid down my stars framelits on top of a piece of Garden Green cardstck and cut the whole lot all ar once ! I stamped with the Honeycomb TEF using Basic Gray ink and cut some Basic Gray card stock using the Hexagon Hive thinlits. I used the Little Letters framelits for my title . Isn't he a lovely boy ?

Scrapbooking my beautiful grandsons

I am loving the technique I showed you in an earlier post and couldn't wait to design a scrap book page featuring the Sheltering Tree , Sprinkles of Life and Thankful Forest Friends stamp sets . I have also used some gorgeous Into The Woods DSP and of course Woodlands TEF .
What do you think ?

New Technique

Hi Stampers ,
I've been playing around with a new technique shared by the very talented Ann Craig here  http://anncraig.blogspot.com.au/.   I'm loving the different effects I've achieved using different stamp sets.
The first card uses Cozy Christmas  and Wonderfall stamp sets . I wiped the Night Of Navy ink pad across the Woodlands TEF ,then stamped the house and tree images in Memento Black and ran it through the Big Shot . I touched up a few areas by sponging in N. Of Navy ink . What do you think  ? Oh and I used the splatter technique to add some sparkle !

I just couldn't stop at one so here are a few more attempts .if you'd like to know more feel free to contact me .

Ooh La lLa !

I'm so happy with how this card turned out I simply had to share it with you ! I've never tried this technique before but already have more ideas in mind after creating this card . I cased the idea and the technique from Linda Higgins .
Using the Delicate Ornament thinlits dies I embossed the two silver ornaments before cutting a red one from red glimmer paper . How did I do that ? I used the crease pad ON TOP instead of the top cutting plate.
Here is my card .

Woodlands Textured a Embossing Folder

I have had so much fun playing with some ideas that have been running around in my head !
I was inspired by a card by Carolyn Bennie @ www.carolynbennie.com to create this first card .

First I stamped the trees for the stamp set Wonderfall , in the Hoilday catalogue  ,  I then brayered my Woodlands TEF using Tip Top Taupe  ink and ran it through .
I snipped a little deer from the Home For The Holidays DSP and mounted him onto some Winter Wonderland Designer foil , and then some Gold Foil sheet , both cut using the Circles framelits . I layered some Very Vanilla Subltle Stripes Satin Ribbon , Holdays Fancy Foil Vellum and some of the gorgeous Gold Glitter ribbon . Then I cut the greeting using the Christmas Greeting thinlit dies .
I think this is my favourite  Christmas card I've created so far !
This next card was created using the pine cone twig from the Wonderland stamp set . Gorgeous ! Love it !. This time I stamped after embossing and used Always Artichoke ink and then used the Jingle All The Way edgelits to complete the scene . Then I mixed some Tombow glue with a little water and flicked it onto the card front and sprinkled on some Gold Glitter. I gold embossed the greeting onto the Early Espresso piece to finish this card .

For this card I used Watermelon Wonder to stamp the Wonderland trees  before embossing . I inked the TEF using my brayer to give some added dimension.
I hope you like my cards as much as I do !

Scrapbooking September Pages

Hi Stampers ,
This month's pages were simply created using Bohemian DSP . It was fun putting together simple banners to display my grandson Liam's first lost tooth . I have used the Banner  , Chevron and What's Up punch (retired ) , some Bohemian WASHI tape and some splatters using the Perpetual Calendar stamp set .

SEPTEMBER CLASS

Sheltering Tree
Nine lovely ladies joined me today to create 3 different cards using the Sheltering Tree stamp set.
The first card was rather labour intensive and some of the comments were amusing ! Oh we've still to stamp the front of the card as well
An avenue of trees was created for the car to drive through , then I showed how to score the cardstock to create the tunnel effect and the base of the card was then stamped and lastly the card front.

Everyone said what a cool idea it was to stamp the cobblestone road using the tree top stamp !
A bit of masking and the road and grass along the roadside was created .

The next card was copied straight from Pinterest using  the awesome tutorial by juliedavison.com
It is such a cute card and so easy to create .

The last card - last because I didn't want inky fingers on the other two cards ! This one is the NorthernLights  technique and every card turned out differently ! They all looked fantastic ! I followed Debbie Hendersons tutorial on Pinterest but I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set .
My groups were very impressed with the cards they created today .

SEPTEMBER CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS

Seven ladies created six Christmas cards yesterday using two designs and two were made from the To You and Yours shaker kit .
The first card design was the dryer sheet technique - a simple , quick and easy technique to duplicate for your Christmas cards . The trees were stamped using Night Of Navy ink , then the card front was smothered with a glue stick , a used dryer sheet was  applied and smoothed over and then Dazzling Diamonds was sprinkled over the top .
These cards looked stunning with the addition of some of our new embellishments - snowflake elements , corded trim  and iced rhinestones .

The next card was cased from page 30 of the Holiday catalogue and used the Berry Merry stamp set and embossing folder, Boughs and Berries available as a bundle for $36.50

Lastly some fun was had amongst much laughter putting together the cards from the kit .

I decorated the bags using the embellished ornaments set  and the lucky door prize pictured is some new DSP Home For Christmas and new ribbon . Coral Kervin was the lucky winner of this gorgeous prize .
