Oh wow ! I'm so happy with how this turned out ! I made up some cards from a new kit coming soon in the Holiday catalogue which inspired me to make this beauty !

Home For Christmas DSP

I loved this card so much I just had to share it with you ! I  cannot take credit for the idea as it's not my own . I cased this beauty from Laura - Lee Doucet . I've snipped the gorgeous deer from our new Home For Christmas DSP available from the Holiday catalogue from September 1 st . My first Christmas class will be on September 3 rd .

Technique card for Christmas class

I had fun this afternoon playing with a new technique for this gorgeous Christnas card . It uses a new stamp set called Wonderland available on September 1 st .

This will be one of the cards my class will make on September 3 rd . Classes will begin @ 1 pm and you'll need to bring your own adhesive and tools.

6 cards using 3 different designs will be created . The cost will be $30 .RSVP before next Friday 28 th August please .

My first Christmas Card

Hello Everyone !

I'm so excited to have finally found time to create my first Christmas card and I just had to share it with you 😀 . I'm really pleased with how it turned out ! What do you think ?

Now I need to create some more designs for my first Christmas class on 3 rd September . Have you booked yet ?

Awesomely Artistic

Hi Stampers ,

I've had so much fun playing with this set called Awesomely Artistic that I could not wait to share what I've come up with for my October class !

This is my first Centre Step card and I was so pleased with how it turned out . The art piece was cased from Dawn Olchefske 's lovely card you can find here http://dostamping.typepad.com/dostamping_with_dawn/2015/08/dostamperstars-thursday-challenge-143-awesomely-artistic.html

It's a bit hard to see but I've made the dragonfly all glittery with IRRIDESCENT ICE embossing powder and used Balcberry Bliss ,Bermuda Bay and Mint Macaron inks .

The next card uses the Emboss Resist technique and there are many tutorials on Pinterest you can follow .

 Lastly , I wanted to show my ladies how to achieve a Triple Time stamping look but for this card I decided I liked the look of double time stamping . I've used my favourite colour here - Rose Red . If you like the look of these cards contact me for details for this class.

AUGUST SCRAPBOOKING PAGES

Hi everyone ,

I've been unwell the past few days but stamping always takes my mind off being sick !

So I managed to put together the Scrapbook pages for the next class on the 23 rd August . If you'd like to come along to it you need to book in real soon so that I have time to order more supplies .

Here is my take and please note although this could be used as a double layout these pages will go in separate albums because they are of my grandsons , Sam and Connor .

I have used the Schoolhouse DSP in these pages and I just love it ! I have also used a retired stamp set called Every Bunny and I punched out an oval , used my Brushstrokes Background stamp to add stripes to it for the balloon instead of the Easter egg - cool huh ? I also used the small bunny and cut around the Easter egg . I used my Textured Embossing Folders as a stamp for a great effect to fill up the White space .

For Connor' s page I used Ray of Sunshine to stamp and cut out  the sun and sun rays . I also used the tree builder punch to cut the tree and the clouds . I am very happy with how these pages have turned out .

Well I still don't feel too great but managed to pull this card together and am very pleased with how it turned out .

Upcoming September Class

Hi Stampers ,

Today I wanted to share with you an origanal idea I had to pair the Sheltering Tree stamp and Guy Greetings sets with the tunnel card design .

I was driving out to see a client who lives beside a local lake , some may have heard of it , Kangaroo Lake , and as I drove along the road where the jacaranda trees framed the road i I thought how cool it'd be to design a card using this idea . Of course the jacarandas are not in bloom at this moment so I just imagined how they'd look if they were .

This card will be one of three created at my next card class in September 6 th so if you'd like to create it along with me contact me for details . There are vacancies in both the 10 am and 1 pm sessions at the moment but I ask for an RSVP 10 days before the class. The other cards will use the Northern Lights technique and we will also create a pop out swing card with this same set.

I'm not feeling the best today . Have lost my voice and am suffering from a virus of some description but I really want to create another tunnel card today so if I feel well enough to pull it together I'll post it later on this afternoon .

Watercolour Wings

August Card Class

In this morning's class 3 different cards were created with the Watercolor Wings , three step stamp set  .

The first card uses the layered embossing technique . This card was created using Gold , Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso embossing powders and Cherry Cobbler , Tip Top Taupe and Early Espresso cardstock . It was delicately finished off with the lovely new Tip Top Taupe lace ribbon.

Next we created a pop up card . I altered a tutorial by Julie Davison  - you can find Julie's tutorial here www.juliedavison.com  . I chose to use my circle framelits for this card so I adjusted the measurements so that the card insert was the usual size .

The Pretty Petals DSP stack was used to make a simple card front , embellished with Calypso Coral seam binding ribbon . The butterflies were stamped in Memento Black , Calypso Coral , stamped off and lastly Watermelon Wonder  and then the large butterfly was embellished using White Perfect Accents .

The last card was a simple card again using the Pretty Petals DSP stack , on sale in weekly deals until Tuesday . The banners were created using the banner punch . The butterfly was stamped using Marina Mist , Island Indgo and Pacific Point . It was then embellished with the Brights sequin assortment.

My group of ladies can't wait until next month when we'll be focussing on the Sheltering Tree stamp set and creating a tunnel card , a pop out swing card and a Northern Lights card . Here is a sneak peak .

I will be placing my pre order for the Holiday Catalogue on Tuesday and my first Christmas class will be on the 3 rd of September which is a Thursday . I will post more details soon and bookings will be gratefully accepted now .
