Rose Wonder

Hello again . I'd like to share with you some cards I created using the Rose Wonder stamp set and matching thinlits set , Rose Garden .
This card was heat embossed in White and then watercoloured using Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi inks . It is a relatively easy card to put together and I love the soft colours .

I have also watercoloured this card using Rose Red and Old Olive and die cut in thick white cardstock , placed this over the card and cut around it . It may be helpful to trace around the shape first . Take care with placement , ensuring that the leaves are placed at each edge as shown or your card will be a little wonky - ask me how I know !

This is the card front I began with  when I attemptied to create the card above but I didn't realise how important placement was so not to worry l salvaged my beautiful watercoloured piece  by cutting it out using paper snips and adhering it to a Kraft card front . I have used Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive for this card . The card base is Watermeon Wonder .

This card was cased form the very talented Patty Bennet . I have sponged onto the crushed Curry SAB DSP , Perfectly Artistic . Then I have placed the Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow die cut over the top

Last of all could well be my favourite ! I cased this from the Artisan design team and I really love how it turned out . Colours used are Balckberry Bliss , Mossy Meadow and Craft cardstock .😀

So happy !

Hi again I'm back with some more samples from the O . C . When I saw the array of dies in this catalogue I immediately remembered how much fun it was too dry emboss with the ornaments die from the Holiday Catalogue . I couldn't wait to see what I could come up with and here are two cards created using this technique .

It was just a matter of placing the flowers and leaves until I was happy with the layout . You need your crease pad to achieve this effect - place it on top instead of your top plate and use the platform in the closed  position . I then die cut some leaves and a flower to complement my card .

The next card uses the Bloomin ' Hearts die and is fairly self explanatory . I die cut some extra flowers that come with this die from Black glimmer paper from the H. C - get some quick before the catalogue ends !

Then I had a play around with the hearts die and paper stack and created the next two cards .

Lastly I started to copy Kylie Bertucci 's card which puts a different spin on this set when I discovered a card front I'd decided didn't match my previous design so used it instead because it suited this card just fine ! I hope you like my designs . 😀

Occasions Catalogue and SAB

Hi Stampers ,
I guess everyone is busy preparing for the festive season . I was surprisingly well organised this year , managing to have my cards posted out about 2 weeks ago . I have received some lovely hand made Christmas cards from friends and clients which I will be showing on my blog after Christmas . My ladies are so creative it's  so lovely to see !
I have had the opportunity in the last few days to have a play with some of the products form the new catalogue which begins on 5 th January along with SAB . Don't know what I mean by SAB ? Sale-a-Bration is the one time of the year when S. U bring out a mini SAB catalogue filled with exclusive products you get to choose one for free with every $90 you spend , before postage . Pretty cool right ?
This year's products are awesome and I had so much trouble trying to choose because I wanted them all ! Why do I get to play before you do ? It's one of the many benefits of becoming a demonstrator ! I get to order from the new catalogue one month before the catalogues go live so that I can create samples for my customers to see at the next workshop or class . If you'd like to join my fantastic team contact me for more information . Also if you don't have your new catalogues yet I have plenty on hand so just contact me to organise to collect your copy .
Now to the cards , today I'm going to showcase cards created using the Going Global and Sky Is The Limit stamp sets along with the World Travler TEF and Going Places DSP stack . These sets work really well together along with some of the sets in the AC including the Project Life Lets Get Away set.
This card was easily put together using the Watercolour Wash Background stamp . I love how it turned out .

Then I played around with inking the embossing folder which turned the sea blue ! I've used Lost Lagoon here onto Sahara Sand CS . A quick and easy male card ! That's what we like right !
I love it mounted onto our Red Foil paper too !

For this next card I've combined the SAB set The Sky is the Limit with the TEF . this time I've inked the other side of the TEF so that the land parts turn black and I've also again used Sahara Sand C. S. Then I just stamped the plane image using Memento Black ink into Sahara Sand and cut it out with my circle framelits along with a B. Black Matt ! Done ! Another quick and easy card !

Now for a feminine touch see how I prettied this one up ! The Crumb Cake DSP is from the Love Blossoms DSP stack in the O.C and also available in the O. C is that gorgeous Blushing Bride new glimmer paper !  Card base is Blushing Bride and I've use Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake inks . A few gold sequins and some tiny drops of glue using the Fine Tip Glue Pen then a sprinkle with gold glitter added a final touch of class .

These next two cards use the  Going Places DSP and are cased directly from the catalogue . I've substituted some retired Crushed Curry ribbon as I did not have the ribbon used in the cattie .

So there's you little sneak peak for today and I'm getting right back into it now ! So many new toys so little time !
Remember classes resume on Thursday January 7 th at 9.30 am until 12 pm and next class is at 1.30 pm until 4 pm . After this first class we will be going back to Sunday classes , Scrapbooking begins on the 17 th January at 1 pm  and I'm taking bookings now .
Off to play !

More Halloween ! Can you stand it !

Hi Stamping friends ,
I've just completed another Halloween layout and I'm thrilled with the results even though it took me a while to figure out where I was going !
Take a look !

Don't you love how I replaced the deer with the fox on the silhouette stamp ? This set,  To You And Yours ,  is from the HC and is still available for purchase .
I used Jingle All the Way framelits and Holiday Home ( retired ) to complete my scene . Then it was " oh my heavens where am I going to place my photo " but I got there in the end !
I've used circle framelits and sponging to create the different coloured circles for the spooky owl on the second page . Don't you just adore that cut owl ?
I think Liam is going to love this layout when I get my photos printed !
Now I must away I need to create a card in a box for a 95 year old sweet lady who's party is tomorrow - nothing like leaving things to the last minute but that's how I roll !

Christmas Class

Hi everyone ,
We had a lovely day yesterday creating Christmas cards ! This was our last of my regular monthly card classes for the year . I am taking a break in December so there's just three more classes left - this Thursday and Friday's Christmas classes and Sunday the 15 th is the last Scrapbooking class for the year ! I will start up again in January in time for the release of the new mini catalogue .
Being our last class I changed the format a little and we began at 10 am and worked through until about 1 pm when we had a light lunch together . Also , instead of three cards we created four .
These are the cards  we created .

They all use techniques new to my ladies . The first is the stained glass technique - love how it turned out .

This next one uses the stylus embossing technique and I cased this beauty from Gail Burke who very kindly shared it on our Facebook page .

Then the ladies tried their hand at brayering with great results . I love  this card in Bermuda Bay ! So simple yet so stunning ! I also introduced them to applying glitter using the glue flicking technique !

Lastly we create this card  which uses the water flicking technique and I added my extra touch with also using the glue flicking technique to add sparkle ! Love it !

That's all for now but contact me for details or to place an order .😀

Cards For Family and Friends

Hi Stampers ,
Isn't the weather unpredictable of late ? I despise humidity and struggled in the heat yesterday and was very relieved to wake to a cool change this morning ! I wonder what tomorrow is going to bring !

I had a very productive weekend making special cards for friends and family . I started with a 21 st card in a box for my nephew , Bill .
I used Wonderland DSP available right now from the Holiday catalogue and my balloon and star framelits to create this card in a box . There are lots of tutorials on Pinterest for this type of card . If you'd like to know more or book a workshop contact me for details . I love how this card turned out .

Then I created a 60 th birthday card for a friend . Again I used the balloon framelits but this time I added flowers using Flower Shop stamp set and coordinating punch and my smallest filigree butterfly framelit which was a snap to cut using the Precision Plate , the pieces just fell out ! I added some embossing and some bling for a feminine touch.

Finally , I created an engagement card for the same nephew , Bill and his fiancée Caitlyn . I decide to make a side step card after being inspired by a gorgeous one created by Maree Jaeschke . I wanted to use the colours used on the invitation and was able to match them perfectly to S. U colours . I had difficulty finding a tutorial the size I wanted on the net so I created my own version so that the card on the side was large enough to accomodate my stamping . I have used one of my favourite and most versatile stamps , Sheltering Tree .
I silver embossed the tree trunk and added hearts I a variety of subtle colours which I had punched using the hearts border punch .
I embossed part of the greeting in silver , then stamped " love " from the Hello Life stamp set , taking care to only ink up the word .
Then I embossed a piece of Rose Red CS with the Hearts embossing folder and punched out 2 hearts . I placed them on position and adhered a bow tied with silver corded trim on top ! Cute ! I set these on a Whisper White piece I had stamped the Hearts from the Perpetual Calendar in random subtles .
I used  a greeting I adore from a retired set called Occasional Quotes and the wording goes like this
Love begins in a moment
Grows over time
And lasts an eternity
Then I silver embossed " Congratulatiions and place it down the bottom . Love it  - this is my first ever side step card but I can guarantee it will not be my last ! I love it !

That's all until next time 😀

Northern Lights For Christmas

Hello Stampers ,
I've had a lovely day playing with the Northern Lghts technique . My upline was unable to attend because her hubbie was dashed to hospital last night and will have an operation tomorrow . 😒
My down line , Margie and I went ahead with a little catch up and and a bit of a play - actually we did more chattering than playing but it was a great day !
Here are my cards
There are many tutorials on the web for this technique but if you'd like more information you can book a workshop and I'd be happy to show you how it's done . 😀

Gorgeous Shimmer cards !

Hello Stampers !
I've had so much fun playing with a technique I have not tried for a while . I found it somewhere on the web but it was a while ago and I cannot remember where .
The technique I speak of is quite simple but oh so stunning .
 Here's what you do :
Stamp onto window sheet using Stazon Bllack / Stazon White / archival black ink , heat set .
Flip your piece over to the back
Mix some reinker with some crystal effects and paint onto your stamped image .
Then , while still wet sprinkle over some Dazzling Diamonds glitter .
Allow to dry
Trim image and it's good to go onto your card front or tag .
First I tried the dove image , stamped in Stazon White , then painted with CE mixed with Pool Party reinker for the bird and Mint Macaron for the leaf . Amazing how it looks like it's been painted in Mint Macaron but it's actually Pool Party ! This was set onto a circle cut from Pool Party.
I mounted this onto a salt technique background . I've used Lost Lagoon , Island Indigo and Night of Navy and then used glue spatter to add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter .

Next I used the poinsettia image from the Reason For the Season stamp set . I stamped this image onto my window sheet using our Archival Black ink , then I heat set it . This time I used Cherry Cobbler. Cucumber Crush and a Crushed Curry reinkers and decided to try Gold Stampin ' Glitter and oh my it looks amazing ! I wish you could see it in real life !
I decided it didn't need too many embellishments so the card layout is quite simple but elegant , don't you think ? The strip of Red Glimmer paper was only added to cover up a little red ink smudge sssh don't tell anyone it'll be our little secret !

Then I started thinking about what else I could use for this technique and decided I'd really like to try a butterfly but was really not sure how to go about it . I had to change things around a bit because  there wasn't a current stamp that I wanted to use but there are the Butterfly thinlits !
Here's what I did .
Cut a filigree butterfly from Black glimmer paper .
Cut a butterfly outline from window sheetusing the Bold Butterfly framelits .
Adhered my black shape over the window sheet .
Flipped it over , mixed my colours and went ahead and painted it - this time I added the glitter as I finished each colour because  I didn't want it to dry out before I was done.
I used Bermuda  Bay , Wild Wisteria and Pink Pirouette .
I cut another butterfly outline from the Whisper White card front .
Stamped the leaves in Wild Wasabi from the the stamp set Serene Silhouettes .placed it over the  Basic Black card base in the position it was to go
Drew around it in pencil to mark where the framelits needed to go
Removed the W. White piece and cut the Basic Black base .
Took a piece of Vellum cardstock and adhered it to the back of the card front - making sure I placed some glue using the fine tip  glue pen to the back of the butterfly so the it would stay in position
I will run a class using this technique and will have more details at a later date .

Liam at the Splash Park

Hello again . Isn't the weather just glorious at the moment ! I think we're in for a few hot days at the weekend though ! Anyway it was lovely weather to get all of my windows washed today and that always makes me feel good . Now that is done and the garden is in tip top shape also . So , this evening I decided it was time for some more scrapbooking .
As l looked at the photos of Liam when Mandy took him to the splash park the climbing frame immediately reminded me of a spider web ! So I took out my pack of spider web doilies and went from there ! I've used Schoolhouse DSP again - love that paper ! I laid down my stars framelits on top of a piece of Garden Green cardstck and cut the whole lot all ar once ! I stamped with the Honeycomb TEF using Basic Gray ink and cut some Basic Gray card stock using the Hexagon Hive thinlits. I used the Little Letters framelits for my title . Isn't he a lovely boy ?

Scrapbooking my beautiful grandsons

I am loving the technique I showed you in an earlier post and couldn't wait to design a scrap book page featuring the Sheltering Tree , Sprinkles of Life and Thankful Forest Friends stamp sets . I have also used some gorgeous Into The Woods DSP and of course Woodlands TEF .
What do you think ?

New Technique

Hi Stampers ,
I've been playing around with a new technique shared by the very talented Ann Craig here  http://anncraig.blogspot.com.au/.   I'm loving the different effects I've achieved using different stamp sets.
The first card uses Cozy Christmas  and Wonderfall stamp sets . I wiped the Night Of Navy ink pad across the Woodlands TEF ,then stamped the house and tree images in Memento Black and ran it through the Big Shot . I touched up a few areas by sponging in N. Of Navy ink . What do you think  ? Oh and I used the splatter technique to add some sparkle !

I just couldn't stop at one so here are a few more attempts .if you'd like to know more feel free to contact me .

Ooh La lLa !

I'm so happy with how this card turned out I simply had to share it with you ! I've never tried this technique before but already have more ideas in mind after creating this card . I cased the idea and the technique from Linda Higgins .
Using the Delicate Ornament thinlits dies I embossed the two silver ornaments before cutting a red one from red glimmer paper . How did I do that ? I used the crease pad ON TOP instead of the top cutting plate.
Here is my card .

Woodlands Textured a Embossing Folder

I have had so much fun playing with some ideas that have been running around in my head !
I was inspired by a card by Carolyn Bennie @ www.carolynbennie.com to create this first card .

First I stamped the trees for the stamp set Wonderfall , in the Hoilday catalogue  ,  I then brayered my Woodlands TEF using Tip Top Taupe  ink and ran it through .
I snipped a little deer from the Home For The Holidays DSP and mounted him onto some Winter Wonderland Designer foil , and then some Gold Foil sheet , both cut using the Circles framelits . I layered some Very Vanilla Subltle Stripes Satin Ribbon , Holdays Fancy Foil Vellum and some of the gorgeous Gold Glitter ribbon . Then I cut the greeting using the Christmas Greeting thinlit dies .
I think this is my favourite  Christmas card I've created so far !
This next card was created using the pine cone twig from the Wonderland stamp set . Gorgeous ! Love it !. This time I stamped after embossing and used Always Artichoke ink and then used the Jingle All The Way edgelits to complete the scene . Then I mixed some Tombow glue with a little water and flicked it onto the card front and sprinkled on some Gold Glitter. I gold embossed the greeting onto the Early Espresso piece to finish this card .

For this card I used Watermelon Wonder to stamp the Wonderland trees  before embossing . I inked the TEF using my brayer to give some added dimension.
I hope you like my cards as much as I do !
